R-Xscape Consortium Meets in Bilbao for discussing the next steps 🗣️💡
On July 3rd and 4th, the R-Xscape consortium gathered in the vibrant city of Bilbao, Spain, for an inspiring and collaborative meeting focused on the continued development of our innovative educational escape rooms.
This immersive workshop was designed to foster collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. It focused on the application of logical and mathematical reasoning, while also strengthening teamwork skills—key elements of ResearchComp Framework that contribute to engaging and effective learning experiences.
A Unique Learning Experience
One of the highlights of our meetings is the opportunity for consortium members to participate in live escape room experiences. This hands-on approach allows us to step into the learners’ shoes, better understand their challenges and refine our designs to ensure that our educational escape rooms are not only impactful but also inclusive and accessible to all.
For this meeting, Xabier from Fondo Formación Euskadi took on the exciting challenge of designing an escape room that promotes logical thinking, teamwork and creativity. By directly engaging with the activity, partners are gathering invaluable insights into the potential obstacles learners may face—insights that will be crucial as the partnership is starting the development to escape rooms scenarios for the R-Xscape project.
Advancements in Work Package 2 (WP2)
In addition to the hands-on activities, significant progress was made in the development of R-Xscape’s key deliverables. We are excited to announce that our Good Practices Manual will soon be published. This manual will showcase inspiring educational practices in VET from consortium’s countries, serving as a valuable resource for educators and researchers interested in implementing innovative pedagogies and strategies in their practice.

As we move forward, the R-Xscape team is gearing up for exciting upcoming initiatives:
- R-Xscape Talks – Thought-provoking discussions on the future of vocational education and training (VET) where students will have the opportunity to feel inspired by experience of VET alumni.
- Inspiring Interview Sessions – Sharing insights from alumni to inspire current and future VET learners.
